Vako certainly made the most out of his international duty this week.
The San Jose Earthquakes midfielder scored in back-to-back games as Georgia defeated Lithuania, 4-0, before knocking off Estonia, 2-0, on Tuesday.
His 35th-minute goal against Estonia was a thing of beauty as Vako turned after receiving the ball at his feet and ran at the defense, creating separation with a hard cut near the top of the box before scoring with the outside of his right foot from 22 yards out for his ninth goal in 34 appearances.
Vako will rejoin the ‘Quakes as they host undefeated New York City FC on Saturday (8pm ET | ESPN2, TSN2 – Full TV & streaming info).
