Didier Drogba has played two stints with Premier League champions Chelsea. Is the allure of the club pulling him back for another spell in West London?
Drogba was spotted sitting in the stands on Saturday alongside Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and interim manager Guus Hiddink during the Blues' win over Sunderland, with speculation that Drogba could return to the club once more in some capacity. Although Hiddink's appointment seemed to quell speculation that the 37-year-old would manage the club, speculation has persisted that Drogba could return to the club, in either a playing or coaching capacity.
In response, Drogba's current club, the Montreal Impact, issued a series of Tweets on Wednesday to address the chatter:
Drogba, who had planned to return to Chelsea to train back in November, scored 11 goals in 11 league appearances after joining the Impact midseason, and notched a goal in the MLS Cup Playoffs as well.
