Powered by Cucho, Crew Take Down the Red Bulls

One of the hottest players in MLS since the start of May, Columbus forward Cucho Hernández scored the opening goal and assisted on the club’s second in the Crew’s 2-1 victory over the New York Red Bulls. Hernández has at least one goal contribution in 10 of his last 11 regular-season appearances for the club, totaling five goals and eight assists over the span.

In 30 career games with the Crew, Hernández has recorded 26 goal contributions (14 goals, 12 assists). He became just the second player in club history to record 25 combined goals and assists in his first 30 matches with the team, joining Stern John (33 goal contributions).

Acosta Reaches Assist Milestone in Clash of Eastern Conference Leaders

In a battle between the top two teams in the Supporters’ Shield standings, FC Cincinnati midfielder Luciano Acosta assisted both of Dominique Badji’s goals in the club’s 2-2 draw against the New England Revolution. Cincinnati remains unbeaten in 11 games at TQL Stadium this season, going 10-0-1 over the span.

Acosta’s assists were the 69th and 70th of his career, as he became the only active player in MLS with at least 70 career assists and 50 career goals. He is the 14th player in MLS history to record at least 70 assists and 50 goals in regular-season play.

Minnesota United Overpowers Portland in 4-1 Victory

Minnesota United FC scored a season-high four goals in the club’s 4-1 victory over the Portland Timbers on Saturday night, including a pair of scores from Emanuel Reynoso. The Argentine midfielder has scored three of the club’s six goals across the last two matches.

Reynoso’s brace – his first since July 16, 2022 – marked the fifth multi-score game of his career with Minnesota United, tying Kevin Molino (five) for the most multi-goal games in club history.

Orlando City’s Facundo Torres Records Brace in 3-1 Victory Over Fire

Led by two goals from dynamic midfielder Facundo Torres, Orlando City SC extended their home unbeaten streak to six matches with a 3-1 victory over the Chicago Fire. 

The 23-year-old Torres has 16 goals since arriving in Orlando ahead of the 2022 season and is one of only three players in club history to score at least 15 goals at the age of 23 or younger, joining Cyle Larin (43 goals) and Daryl Dike (18 goals). Torres’ 29 career goal contributions (16 goals, 13 assists) are the second-most in club history for a player aged 23 and younger, trailing only Larin (49 goal contributions).

Josef MartĂ­nez Makes MLS Scoring History vs. Austin FC

In just his second career match against Austin FC, Inter Miami CF forward Josef Martínez made MLS history with his goal in the club’s 1-1 draw at DRV PNK Stadium.

With his goal, Martínez has now scored against 27 different MLS clubs, the most by a single player in league history. Kei Kamara and Ola Kamara are tied for the second-most clubs scored against with 26 each. Martínez’s goal was the 103rd of his MLS career, moving him into sole possession of 10th place on the league’s all-time scoring list.
