Below is a selection of the notable performances and moments from the 15 matches played on the 10th matchday of the 2025 MLS regular season on Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27.

Highlights of the matchday included:

  • Nashville SC exploded for seven goals against Chicago Fire FC, including a club-record four scores from forward Sam Surridge. Nashville’s seven goals were the most in an MLS match since the Philadelphia Union scored seven on July 8, 2022.
  • Behind the first-career MLS brace from Kévin Denkey, FC Cincinnati notched their fifth consecutive win and climbed to the top of the Eastern Conference standings with 22 points (7-2-1), as they look to become the first team since the 2015 New York Red Bulls to win two Supporters’ Shield title in a three-year span.
  • After trailing by two goals late into the second half, FC Dallas orchestrated a major comeback on Sunday afternoon to knock off Inter Miami CF, the league’s last remaining unbeaten team, by a 4-3 score. Sunday marked the first time since 2011 that Dallas had overcome a two-goal, second-half deficit to win a match.
  • With a 3-1 road victory over Minnesota United FC, Vancouver Whitecaps FC (23 points, 7-1-2) retained their spot atop the Supporters’ Shield standings behind two goals from Pedro Vite. The Whitecaps are the first team since 2022 LAFC to take at least 23 points through their first 10 games of a season.
  • The New England Revolution, behind a goal from Carles Gil, became the first team this season to defeat Charlotte FC at Bank of America Stadium, earning a hard-fought 1-0 road win. After going winless in their first four matches, the Revolution have now won three consecutive games and four of their last five.
  • Philadelphia Union goalkeeper Andre Blake become the second-fastest ‘keeper in MLS history to reach 80 career clean sheets, doing so in his 253rd match – a 3-0 win against D.C. United.
  • The Portland Timbers are unbeaten across their last seven matches following a 4-2 win over the LA Galaxy, a match that featured three assists from the Timbers' Antony.
  • Six players notched multi-goal games on Matchday 10: Cincinnati’s Kévin Denkey (two), LAFC’s Denis Bouanga (two), Nashville’s Sam Surridge (four) and Hany Mukhtar (two), Real Salt Lake’s Diego Luna (two), and Vancouver’s Pedro Vite (two).

Nashville Scores Seven Behind Surridge’s Surge

Broadway was abuzz on Saturday night, as Nashville SC put on an offensive show to the tune of seven goals, featuring a standout, four-goal performance from Sam Surridge in a 7-2 victory over Chicago Fire FC (Watch Highlights from His Performance Here). Nashville’s seven goals were the most by an MLS team since the Philadelphia Union scored seven against D.C. United on July 8, 2022 in a 7-0 win.

Surridge became the 19th player in MLS history to score four goals in a single match and the second to do so this year, joining Vancouver’s Brian White (April 12). 2022 Landon Donovan MLS MVP Hany Mukhtar added two goals and an assist of his own and Andy Najar tallied three assists while helping pace Nashville’s relentless attack.

This is the 13th time in league history that a team has scored seven or more goals in a single match. With five goals in the first half, including a pair of goals from both Mukhtar and Surridge, Nashville also became the fifth team in MLS history to score five goals in the first half of a match and also the first since Philadelphia on July 8, 2022.

Nashville will return to action in a Saturday matinee, as they travel to Mercedes-Benz Stadium and face an Atlanta United squad that is hungry for a win (2:45 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV / Apple TV+ / FOX / FOX Deportes).

FC Dallas Slays Last Unbeaten, Inter Miami CF, in Epic Comeback

Trailing 3-1 entering the 65th minute, FC Dallas engineered a sensational, second-half comeback on the road, knocking off the last remaining unbeaten MLS squad, Inter Miami CF, in a 4-3 victory.

The win was FC Dallas’ fifth in club history after overcoming a two-goal, second-half deficit and their first of the variety since August 27, 2011 at Sporting Kansas City. Dallas (15 points, 4-3-3) has taken 11 points from its last six matches and currently sit in sixth place in the Western Conference table.

Facing a two-goal deficit in the second half, Osaze Urhoghide corralled a loose ball following a Luciano Acosta free kick and found the back of the net to cut the Miami lead to one (Watch Here). The goal was Urhoghide’s first in MLS play. Just four minutes later, Anderson Julio was on the receiving end of a fantastic long pass from Pedrinho before firing a right-footed rocket past the Miami ‘keeper to level the match at 3-3 (Watch Here).

FC Dallas took the lead in the 81st minute, as Pedrinho found himself open in the middle of the 18-yard box and had a clean look at goal for the go-ahead score (Watch Here). In a final threatening moment, Dallas goalkeeper Kaick Ferreira came up with a huge save, preventing a Tomás Avilés shot from finding the back of the net to seal the win.

Dallas will travel to take on San Diego FC on Saturday as they look to win back-to-back matches (9:15 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV / Apple TV+ / FS1 / FOX Deportes).

Denkey, Cincinnati Win Fifth Straight

Behind the first-career MLS brace from Kévin Denkey, FC Cincinnati notched their fifth consecutive win and climbed to the top of the Eastern Conference standings with a 2-1 victory over Sporting Kansas City. Cincinnati (22 points, 7-2-1) looks to become the first team since the 2015 New York Red Bulls to win two Supporters’ Shield title in a three-year span.

Denkey opened the game’s scoring in the 43rd minute, one-timing a huge deflection from the Kansas City goalkeeper into the back of the net (Watch Here). His second goal was of the sensational variety, as he stunned with a bicycle-kick golazo following a cross from Luca Orellano to complete his brace (Watch Here). Denkey leads all first-year MLS players with six goals and is currently in a tie for third on the Golden Boot presented by Audi leaderboard. Denkey and teammate Evander represent just one of two pairs of MLS teammates to have six goals apiece in 2025, joining San Jose’s Chicho Arango (six) and Josef Martínez (six).

Cincinnati goalkeeper Roman Celentano made his 100th regular season start on Saturday and notched three saves in the victory. With the win, Celentano improved his winning percentage to 66.5% which is tied for the highest winning percentage by a goalkeeper in MLS history in his first 100 regular season starts.

Streaking Cincinnati will look to continue their winning ways as they travel to Citi Field to take on New York City FC on Sunday, May 4 (3 p.m. ET, MLS season Pass on Apple TV / Apple TV+).

Celentano 100 Starts

Blake Reaches 80 Shutouts as Union Score Second Straight Win

The Philadelphia Union notched their second consecutive victory with a 3-0 win over Eastern Conference rival D. C. United. The Union received goals from Jakob Glesnes (Watch Here), Danley Jean Jacques (Watch Here), who scored for the second consecutive week, and Bruno Damiani (Watch Here), with goalkeeper Andre Blake also securing his fourth clean sheet of the season.

The clean sheet was the 80th of Blake’s career, as the Jamaican international became the second-fastest player to reach the milestone in MLS history, doing so in his 253rd career game. Only current Atlanta United goalkeeper Brad Guzan accomplished the feat in fewer matches (251). A three-time MLS Goalkeeper of the Year, the most in league history, Blake became the ninth goalkeeper in league history to reach 80 career shoutouts.

With the win, Philadelphia improved to 19 points (6-3-1) and currently sit in third place in the Eastern Conference standings. The club will look to extend their winning streak as they travel to Stade Saputo to take on CF Montréal next Saturday, May 3 (7:30 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV).

Orlando SC, Pašalić Emerge Victorious in Southeastern Showdown

Unbeaten across their last seven matches, Orlando City SC earned a hard-fought 3-0 victory over southeastern rival Atlanta United on Saturday night. The three-goal margin tied the largest margin of victory for Orlando City against Atlanta, matching a 4-1 win against their rival on October 28, 2020.

Luis Muriel opened the scoring with a penalty-kick goal in the 42nd minute (Watch Here), his third penalty conversion in three attempts in his MLS career. Early in the second half, Marco Pašalić delivered a neatly-threaded pass to Alex Freeman, who gathered and fired a low, driving right-footed shot into the back of the net for a 2-0 advantage (Watch Here). Pašalić provided the third and final goal in the 67th minute, corralling a misplayed Atlanta pass before firing a left-footed laser from outside the 18-yard box for his fifth goal of the season (Watch Here).

With his goal and assist, Pašalić became the fourth player in club history to record at least seven goal contributions in his first 10 matches with the team, joining Nani (nine), Dom Dwyer (seven), and Daryl Dike (seven). The Designated Player is tied for the sixth-most goal contributions in the league with seven through Matchday 10.

Orlando will return to action on Saturday night as they hit the road to take on the Chicago Fire at Soldier Field (8:30 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV).
