NEW YORK (Friday, July 12, 2024) Major League Soccer today announced sanctions against the LA Galaxy following serious misconduct by Galaxy fan supporter groups during their match against LAFC on July 4.
For failing to meet required safety protocols, the LA Galaxy have been fined $100,000 and will be subject to League oversight related to security and supporter management processes.
In coordination with MLS, the LA Galaxy agree to conduct a full investigation of the incident and violators will be subject to further penalties, indefinite bans and all appropriate legal action. The comprehensive review will focus on improving security and supporter management processes moving forward.
Supporter privileges for all LA Galaxy supporter groups, inclusive of home and away matches, are indefinitely suspended pending the completion of MLS and the LA Galaxy’s comprehensive review.
