The LA Galaxy nabbed a 4-1 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps in a preseason scrimmage between the sides in Carson, California on Tuesday.
The match was closed-door and LA's lineup and goalscorers weren't revealed on social media, but per the Whitecaps' Twitter feed, the hosts netted in the 13th, 30th, 52nd and 78th minutes. The Whitecaps got their lone goal of the match from new Designated Player forward Lucas Cavallini in the 46th.
It was the first preseason match of their 2020 slate for the Galaxy, which will continue its preparation for the upcoming season with a bout against Toronto FC at Dignity Health Sports Park on Feb. 15. The result moves the Whitecaps' preseason record to 1-1-1 ahead of their next preseason match, which is set for a Cascadia bout with the Portland Timbers at Providence Park on Feb. 16.
