The Five Stripes, who have had camp open a bit longer because of their preparations for the Concacaf Champions League, came out 2-1 winners, with Josef Martinez and the Five Stripes showing us at least one glimpse of an attack that looks in midseason form.
All the scoring came prior to the first intermission, with Florian Valot leveling early for New York and Ezequiel Barco scoring the eventual winner for Atlanta.
Atlanta's next preseason fixture comes next Wednesday against the Philadelphia Union. The Red Bulls are in Bradenton through February 1 with upcoming exhibitions against the University of South Florida and D.C. United.
