Suspensions are a big part of the game. Add a few injuries and international call-ups on top of that and some Fantasy manager can find it hard to field a full 18-man gameday roster at times.
Red cards are tough enough to deal with, but yellow-card accumulation can also be especially problematic, especially toward the latter part of the MLS season, or right about now.
Updated as of August 25, the MLS Disciplinary Report has 34 players listed one yellow card shy of a suspension due to accumulation.
Fantasy Schedule from Round 26 - Round 33
Players like Wil Trapp, Dom Dwyer and Benny Feilhaber just received their fifth yellow card this week and will sit out a game as a result. Landon Donovan, Javier Morales, Fabian Espindola, Dan Gargan, DeAndre Yedlin and many others are one shy.
This, along with recent news that several players will now miss time due to international friendlies and the UNCAF Copa Centroamericana, putting out a decent lineup (with minimal moves) in Round 26 of MLS Fantasy could be rather difficult.
Not only that, preparing for Round 27 and beyond might be a bit tougher than expected.
Five teams will benefit from double-game-weeks in back-to-back rounds coming up. Chivas, New England, Philadelphia, Toronto and Sporting KC have a DGW in Round 26. LA, Montreal, New York, San Jose and Vancouver will do the same in Round 27.
So, how should you approach the transfer market as we head into the final stretch of the season? Pay very close attention to both the MLS Disciplinary Report and the upcoming schedule before finalizing your moves for the week.

Dwyer is currently the fifth-most added player in Round 26, but due to yellow card accumulation he will miss Sporting KC's next match (vs. New England on September 3).
