Sunday's embellishment by Columbus Crew centerback Giancarlo Gonzalez did not go unpunished by the MLS Disciplinary Committee.
On Tuesday it handed down an undisclosed fine to Gonzalez for his reaction to contact from San Jose Earthquakes captain Chris Wondolowski in the 92nd minute of Sunday's 1-1 draw at Buck Shaw Stadium. The Disciplinary Committee deemed it "embellishment in an attempt to deceive the referee" in the 92nd minute.
