NEW YORK (February 12, 2025) – Major League Soccer (MLS) today unveiled its world-class team of broadcasters for the upcoming third season of MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. The experienced and talented roster will provide fans in more than 100 countries and regions with extensive access to MLS’ historic 30th season.
The team will cover every match of the regular season, Audi MLS Cup Playoffs, the MLS All-Star Game, Leagues Cup and MLS Cup all in one place, with consistent match times and no blackouts. Add in MLS NEXT Pro coverage and MLS Season Pass will air more than 850 matches, highlighting all the remarkable players, celebrating historic rivalries, and welcoming the arrival of San Diego FC, MLS’ 30th club. Once again, all matches will be broadcast in English, and Spanish, as well as French for CF Montreal matches. With more than 70 members, the MLS Season Pass broadcast crew is one of the largest on-air talent groups for a single sports property.
Five new, but familiar faces will be prominent fixtures in the comprehensive coverage. Ramses Sandoval, Dax McCarty, Osvaldo Alonso, Ashley Gonzalez, and Michele Giannone are the new additions to the team. The highly respected Sandoval is the new host of MLS 360 en Español and MLS El Resumen. Alonso and McCarty are two of the most accomplished defensive midfielders in MLS history, playing a combined 34 years and consistently leading their teams to the postseason. They will both serve as studio analysts in Spanish and English, respectively. Gonzalez joins the team as the first female Spanish-language match analyst on MLS Season Pass, while Giannone will serve as an insider and studio analyst. He will cover all the major news around the league and appear on both English and Spanish studio shows.
Studio Talent
The state-of-the art studios at WWE in Stamford, CT will be home to MLS Season Pass’ expansive studio coverage, which will include MLS Countdown, La Previa, MLS Wrap Up, El Resumen and MLS 360 in both English and Spanish. MLS Countdown and La Previa, airing from 6:30 to 7:30 PM ET, will set the stage for all the action each matchday. Kaylyn Kyle and Antonella Gonzalez will serve as the hosts of Countdown and La Previa. Bradley Wright-Phillips and a rotation of Sacha Kljestan and McCarty will serve as analysts for Countdown. Giovanni Savarese, Miguel Gallardo and Alonso will be the analysts on La Previa.\\ Giannone** will provide news updates on both shows.
Dynamic hosts Kevin Egan and Sandoval will lead MLS 360, the popular live whip-around show highlighting more goals, live guests, interviews, and a complete recap of everything that happens on matchday. Kljestan, Wright-Phillips, Kyle and McCarty will bring their passion and insights as the analysts on the English version of 360, while Savarese, Gallardo, Alonso and Antonella Gonzalez enlighten Spanish audiences with their informed and entertaining commentary. Savarese and Giannone will also participate in the English language MLS 360.
With the launch of Sunday Night Soccer in 2025, a one-hour Sunday edition of MLS Countdown and La Previa, starting at 6pm ET, and hosted by Kyle and Gonzalez, will set the stage for the marquee game of the week. The pair will also lead the halftime coverage from the studio with support from a rotation of analysts. When the final whistle blows, MLS Wrap Up and El Resumen will give fans a complete recap of the weekend’s action. Egan and Sandoval will host and will be joined by analysts Kljestan, Wright-Phillips, McCarty, Savarese, Gallardo, Alonso and Insider Giannone.
MLS will also produce two weekly digital shows in English and Spanish, airing on YouTube. The Best of MLS will be led by Kyle, while Gonzalez hosts Lo Mejor de la MLS. This is MLS will be hosted by Kyle along with analysts Kljestan, Taylor Twellman, Maurice Edu and a collection of other experts. Esto es MLS will feature host Sandoval with analysis from Gonzalez, Diego Valeri, and Sammy Sadovnik. The debate and analysis show will also feature a rotation of other MLS Season Pass personalities.
Match Talent
An all-star roster of exceptional storytellers will bring fans around the globe closer to the action with their spirited play-by-play and in-depth analysis of all the matches each week. Household names return to the lineup, including analysts Twellman, Valeri, Edu, Lori Lindsey, Andres Agulla, Tony Cherchi, Danny Higginbotham, Kyndra de St. Aubin and Marcelo Balboa to name a few. Sadovnik, Jake Zivin, Keith Costigan, Bruno Vain, Steve Cangialosi, and Pablo Ramirez are just a handful of the accomplished play-by-play announcers spearheading the coverage.
Saturdays will be the busiest matchdays throughout the season, but Sunday Night Soccer will spotlight the league’s most compelling matchups and will feature enhanced production to elevate the broadcasts. Zivin, Twellman, and Andrew Wiebe will be on the call in English, while Sadovnik and Valeri provide the coverage in Spanish. The inaugural Sunday Night Soccer matchup will showcase the league’s newest franchise, San Diego FC, as it makes its debut on the road against reigning MLS Cup champions LA Galaxy on February 23 at 7 p.m. ET.
The season kicks off Saturday, February 22 with MLS MVP Lionel Messi and Inter Miami CF playing host to New York City FC at 2:30 p.m. ET. A one-hour Countdown/La Previa pregame show, beginning at 1:30p ET, will set the stage for the match. All 30 clubs will be in action for MLS is Back weekend Feb. 22 and 23.
