Minnesota United broke out of a long scoreless streak with goals by Christian Ramirez and Abu Danladi before halftime, and an own goal helped the Loons cruise to a 4-0 win over D.C. United on Saturday at TCF Bank Stadium.
Miguel Ibarra, a first-half substitute for the injured Ramirez, who left with a left hamstring injury, added the finishing touches with a goal in extra time of the second half.
Kevin Molino assisted on the first two goals for Minnesota United, which with Ramirez's goal ended a 358-minute scoreless streak that lasted a month's worth of games.
Ramirez added to his team-leading goal total with his 11th of the season.
D.C. had a number of chances throughout but couldn't get a shot past Minnesota goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth. Their losing streak moved to six games in MLS play.

Three Things
- A COMPLETE PERFORMANCE: Minnesota United got standout performances from throughout the lineup on Saturday. Molino and Danladi were driving forces for the attack, Ibarra put in a strong night's work off the bench and it paid off with a goal, and Shuttleworth had five saves. And the defense gave up chances but no goals.
- DADDY ON DEFENSE: It wasn't a lockdown night for Minnesota's defense, but the best defender for the game was Jerome Thiesson, who turned in a special effort after becoming a father only a day earlier. Danladi paid tribute to his teammate with his goal celebration, pretending to cradle and rock a baby.
3. NO-GOAL NIGHT: The last time D.C. United didn't score a goal was July 1, giving them two games this month alone in which they failed to score. There is also plenty of work to do defensively, as D.C. has given up at least three goals in four straight games.
