Lionel Messi's sensational free kick goal vs. the USA made him Argentina's new all-time leading scorer, taking him one goal better (55) than forward legend Gabriel Batistuta (54).
The 32nd-minute strike found the top right corner, beating US goalkeeper Brad Guzan.
The set piece was awarded when Chris Wondolowski brought Messi down outside the box, receiving a yellow card for the offense.
