TRANSFER TRACKER: Roster Update
LAFC announced on Tuesday that they have exercised Lee Nguyen's contract option for 2019 and have extended Walker Zimmerman, who is out of contract, a bona fide offer, making him ineligible for the Re-Entry Draft. Costa Rican international Marco Ureña saw his contract option declined, while veteran midfielder Benny Feilhaber is also out of contract.
Nguyen, 32, was acquired by the club in May and made 20 appearances this season, scoring 3 goals and adding 5 assists.
On top of Nguyen, the club exercised contract options on Tyler Miller, Mark-Anthony Kaye, Josh Perez and Shaft Brewer Jr. Miller and Kaye were key members of the first team in the club's inaugural season.
Feilhaber, 33, appeared in every MLS game for the club this season, making 32 starts. He scored 3 goals and added 6 assists.
Ureña, 28, began the season as LAFC's starting striker but after the club acquired Adama Diomande, then later Christian Ramirez, his playing time subsided.
LAFC also declined contract options on Charlie Lyon, Quillan Roberts, Nico Czornomaz, Calum Mallace,James Murphy and Steeve Saint-Duc. Jordan Harvey and Dejan Jakovic are out of contract while loan agreements Luis Lopez, Danilo Silva and Aaron Kovar have expired and the club has not exercised their purchase options.
