Ever since Will Ferrell crashed LAFC's press conference unveiling the team's crest and colors in January 2016, it's been a wild ride.
The Hollywood star was announced on that fateful day as one of LAFC's co-owners. An avid sports fan, the comedian was a genuine soccer fan and joined the star-studded ownership group, that also includes sporting superstars Magic Johnson, Mia Hamm and Nomar Garciaparra.
Since then, Ferrell has worked to promote the team on various talk shows, and he was a frequent spectator at LAFC games in 2018. Well, perhaps spectator is not quite the right word -- Ferrell was the honorary falconer at LAFC's first home game, led The 3252 supporters group in chants, and came up with a distinctive style of whipping up the crowd into a frenzy during games. It included putting a scarf in his mouth and shaking his head, and it was pretty much what you would expect from the star.
LAFC commemorated some of Ferrell's greatest hits so far with the club in a new video. We expect many more memories from him in the years to come.
