After missing two matches due to an orbital bone fracture, LA Galaxy striker Robbie Keane expects to be in back in the starting lineup Saturday when the Galaxy visit Yankee Stadium to take on New York City FC (3 pm ET; ESPN in US, MLS LIVE in Canada).
Keane has been training with the club for the last week after missing last Saturday's game against the Colorado Rapids because of the league's concussion protocol.
He was injured Aug. 7 in a wild 2-2 draw with the New York Red Bulls. The 36-year-old Irish international has been practicing while wearing a protective mask, and he said he will "probably'' wear the mask on Saturday.
"Fairly awkward, as you can imagine, but we'll see,'' he said of the mask. "In training, it was on a little bit and then I took it off. We'll see how it is. I'm not too worried about it. It's no problem at all.''
