LA Galaxy Midfielder Sebastian Lletget Voted MLS Player of the Week
NEW YORK

– LA Galaxy midfielder Sebastian Lletget was voted the Major League Soccer Player of the Week for the 10
th
week of the 2020 MLS season.
Lletget helped the Galaxy to a 3-0 victory over rival the Los Angeles Football Club at Dignity Health Sports Park on Sunday with a two-goal performance. In the regular season, Lletget now has four goals, tied for ninth most in the league. LA sits tied for third place in the Western Conference standings with 14 points (4-3-2 overall record).
Already holding a 1-0 lead over LAFC, Lletget doubled the Galaxy’s advantage in the 73
rd
minute when he received a pass from Cristian Pavón directly off a free kick in the center of the box and finished with a right-footed one-time shot into the bottom right corner (

). Lletget then gave the Galaxy a 3-0 lead in the 83
rd
minute when he finished a Rolf Feltscher cross in the center of the box with a tremendous scissor kick into the back right corner (

).
The Galaxy continue action this week on Sunday when facing California Clasico rival the San Jose Earthquakes at Earthquakes Stadium (11 p.m. ET, UniMás / TUDN / Twitter.com).
The MLS Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season through both media and fan voting in a process conducted by MLS Communications. A panel of journalists from the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) comprises 75 percent of the vote, while a Twitter fan vote represents the remaining 25 percent of voting. NASR consists of members of print, television, radio and online media.
