Robbie Keane did it again.
The LA Galaxy striker orchestrated a dominating win over the San Jose Earthquakes in Saturday's 3-0 California Clasico thumping, earning MLS Player of the Week honors for the second time in three weeks as voted on by the North American Soccer Reporters.
Keane didn't notch a hat trick like he did back in Week 25, when LA blew away Real Salt Lake 4-2. But his two goals and one assist against the Quakes were just as influential and in the end, convinced voters to give him the nod over RSL's Joao Plata and Javier Morales, and Chivas USA hitman Erick "Cubo" Torres. The Galaxy's steady climb up the Western Conference standings of late is reflected in their recent mastery of the Player of the Week award: Thanks to the efforts of Keane and teammate Landon Donovan, LA have won three of the last four PotW prizes.
