Nashville MLS to make afternoon announcement
In what is the first, and arguably most important signing for a Major League Soccer expansion club, The Tennessean reports Nashville MLS is set to make a huge splash Monday in announcing the appointment of Ian Ayre as CEO. The Zlatan show premieres in Montreal

RBNY take the points in Atlanta
Bradley Wright-Phillips won the equalizing spot kick and then netted a second half double to lead the New York Red Bulls to a big 3-1 away triumph over East leaders Atlanta United. Their enjoyment of the victory was somewhat muted by injuries, with coach Jesse Marsch forced to give late night updates on both Tyler Adams and Kemar Lawrence, who was carried off after a scary 78th minute incident left him motionless on the turf. Dynamo win a wild one in Chicago
Houston made it exciting on Sunday, coughing up an early lead before rallying through a second half Alberth Elis brace to win 3-2 at Chicago. In his weekend review, Armchair Analyst Matt Doyle says he's confident the Dynamo can reach the playoffs despite their worrisome defense. READ MORE | RECAP
Also Sunday, Minnesota United and guests Sporting KC traded early goals to end up sharing the points from a 1-1 draw. Khiry Shelton opened the scoring with his first goal of the season, only to have Darwin Quintero level matters for the home side. RECAP
NYCFC enjoy stroll, Timbers stay hot
On David Villa Day at Yankee Stadium, the forward struck twice to lead New York City FC on a 4-0 cruise past visiting Colorado. While his team were busy running roughshod over the Rapids, NYCFC boss Patrick Vieira continued being linked to Ligue 1 jobs at Nantes and Nice. READ MORE | RECAP

Eastern victories for TFC, Crew SC
On Friday night, Toronto FC righted the ship with a 2-1 win against guests Orlando City. Ryan Telfer broke a second half deadlock with three minutes left by volleying home his first MLS goal. RECAP
A late strike from Lalas Abubukar earned Columbus a 1-0 triumph at New England. Thanks to their third straight victory, the visitors pulled to within a point of Atlanta's Supporters Shield lead. RECAP
Caps, Union, DCU spring surprises
Their were a few trend-breaking results on Saturday, including Vancouver's comeback in a 2-2 draw at FC Dallas. The visitors hit twice in the final eight minutes to halt a three-game losing slide away from home. RECAP
Philadelphia beat Real Salt Lake for the first time ever and did so in style, posting a 4-1 home win on Saturday night. Borek Dockal scored on a nifty chip and added two assists to lead the Union charge. RECAP
Finally, D.C. United snapped a five-game road losing streak by scoring a 3-1 decision at San Jose. Zoltan Stieber, Darren Mattocks and Yamil Asad each struck in the first half to put the capital crew in the driver's seat. RECAP
Sarachan calls youthful US squad
Ahead of next Monday's friendly against Bolivia, US national team interim coach Dave Sarachan has summoned 22 players that average under 23 years of age and fewer than five caps of international experience. READ MORE
