TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Loan ended
Joe Mason's tenure with the Colorado Rapids didn't turn out to be long, as the club announced on Thursday the forward's loan has ended and he has returned to English Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Mason, 27, arrived in Colorado ahead of the 2018 season on loan from Wolves. He made 14 appearances in MLS regular season play for the Rapids, scoring three goals in 758 minutes of play. The first two goals came in his first three appearances, while the last came in a wild win over Minnesota United on June 23 to snap a nine-game winless run for the Rapids.
MLSsoccer.com's Sam Stejskal reported on Wednesday night that the Rapids could be preparing a move for MLS-experienced attacker Giles Barnes to replace Mason.
