After the new name and logo, it was about time to update the club's look, too.
Both of them.
Columbus Crew SC on Tuesday unveiled two new jerseys for the 2015 MLS season, including a new black secondary kit.

Both shirts feature embossed checkerboard fabric and that same checkered theme, borrowed from the Crew SC logo, also appears on the inside neck tape on both jers

Other updates include the addition of the new-look club and league logos, as well as the new font for the Columbus Crew SC wordmark used on the back of the jersey (see below).
As one of the charter clubs of MLS since 1996, the Crew SC jerseys will also feature the "Founding Team" patch on the inside of the jersey behind the club crest.
Crew SC will be debuting their new all-black jerseys in Houston on Saturday when they open the season with a match against the Dynamo (8:30 pm ET, MLS LIVE).
