Kevin Harmse played in Canada's 2-2 tie with Mexico.

Toronto FC's international players are heading back to town after being involved in World Cup Qualifying matches on Wednesday. Kevin Harmse played the full game as Canada tied 2-2 with Mexico at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton on Wednesday night. It was his eighth international cap. Canada twice took the lead in the game with goals from Ali Gerba and Tomasz Radzinski. The result leaves Canada with two points from five games in World Cup Qualifying.


Also in Canada's group, Jamaica kept hopes of qualifying alive with a 1-0 win over Honduras in Kingston. The game saw Reds defender Tyrone Marshall go up against teammate Amado Guevara. Marshall played the full game while Guevara played 70 minutes. The results leave three teams with the chance to qualify from the group going into the final matches next month. Mexico top the group with 10 points, Honduras is second with nine points and Jamaica has seven. On the final match day, Honduras take on Mexico with Jamaica up against Canada.


Carl Robinson came on as a substitute for the final 14 minutes of Wales' 1-0 defeat to Germany in Monchengladbach. Wales are now third in European Qualifying Group Four, with six points from four games. Carlos Ruiz captained Guatemala in a 2-1 defeat against Cuba. Marvell Wynne was an unused substitute as the U.S. lost 2-1 to Trinidad and Tobago in Port of Spain. The United States had already qualified for the next stage of the competition.
