Cyle Larin’s red card from Orlando City SC’s 2-0 loss to the New York Red Bulls last Saturday has been rescinded.
MLS announced on Wednesday that the Independent Review Panel unanimously supported Orlando City’s appeal of Larin’s red card, which was given to the rookie striker after his 32nd minute challenge on New York midfielder Sacha Kljestan. The Independent Review Panel consists of one representative each from the US Soccer Federation, Canadian Soccer Association and Professional Referees Organization (PRO).
As a result of the decision to rescind the red card, Larin will be available for Orlando’s match at New York City FC on Sunday at Yankee Stadium (2:30 pm ET, FOX Sports 1 in the US, TSN2 in Canada).
