Hristo Stoichkov joins LAFC coach Bob Bradley for Chicago Fire reunion

EMBED + THUMB ONLY: Hristo Stoichkov - Chicago Fire

It was a blast from the past featuring a star-studded cast on the latest episode of LAFC's "Between Two Coaches" podcast series, as head coach Bob Bradley was joined by the great Hristo Stoichkov and other former players from Bradley's 2000 Chicago Fire team that won the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup.

The group share an array of stories and behind-the-scenes tidbits from that team and also dive into some of the discussions on theory and tactics that Bradley says stayed with him and would go on to influence how he approached the game as he continued his coaching career.

Stoichkov, of course, was a key member of that 2000 Fire team in his first year in MLS as he neared the end of a career that saw him become one of the most prolific goal-scorers of his era -- most notably during his first stint with Barcelona from 1990-1995 when he scored 76 goals in 151 games. Stoichkov would net 10 times in 21 appearances for Chicago during that 2000 season, including the opener in the 2-1 Open Cup final victory over the Miami Fusion.
