The Houston Dynamo will look to bounce back from three consecutive road losses since the Gold Cup break when they host the in-form New York Red Bulls Wednesday night at BBVA Stadium.
Following a 4-0 loss at the Portland Timbers and a 2-0 defeat at San Jose, the Dynamo (7-6-3) fell to the New England Revolution 2-1 at Gillette Stadium Saturday. Darwin Ceren put Houston in front on 25 minutes, but Antonio Delamea leveled in the 51st minute before Teal Bunbury scored the stoppage-time winner. Houston have been outscored 8-1 in their losing streak.
The Red Bulls (8-6-3) ceded possession and were outshot by the Chicago Fire, but were timely in the final third and celebrated a 3-1 win at Red Bull Arena Friday night. Kaku capitalized on a heavy touch by Fire goalkeeper Kenneth Kronholm, rounded the keeper and tapped into the empty net in the 8th minute. Brian White slid between a pair of defenders to latch onto a Danny Royer cross to double the Red Bulls lead and, after Nemanja Nikolic sliced the lead in half, Royer struck in second-half stoppage time to secure the win.
