Houston Dynamo unveils new uniforms

HOUSTON, TX - Houston Dynamo unveiled its new uniform today, at a public ceremony at KICKS Indoor Soccer, at 611 Sheperd Drive, in Houston.

The home uniform consists of an orange jersey, white shorts, and the name "Dynamo" across the chest, while the away kit features a white shirt, and orange shorts. The name "Dynamo" also appears on the chest. On both jerseys, the team shield is at the top left corner.

"The uniform is distinctive", said team President and General Manager, Oliver Luck. "When folks see us take the field, they will certainly identify the uniforms with Houston. Our jersey will quickly become one of the most recognizable in the league", he added.

Team members agreed with Luck.

"It's fantastic", said Midfielder Mike Chabala. "It definitely feels great to get my number on the back of a jersey. I also think it's great to have the name "Dynamo" on my chest, because I'll be representing Houston", he said.

After the uniforms were presented, coach Dominic Kinnear introduced the rest of the team one by one, to the cheers of the more than 200 fans who attended the event. They were joined by the team band, which performed under the direction of Dr. Aubrey Tucker.

Fans will have another opportunity to cheer on the Dynamo this Sunday, when the team starts its regular season. Kickoff is slated for 6:30 p.m. CT, against the Colorado Rapids, at the University of Houston's Robertson Stadium.
