TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Signing
The Houston Dynamo have signed forward Michael Salazar from USL affiliate Rio Grande Valley FC, the club announced Monday.
Salazar, 26, made 34 career MLS appearances (15 starts) between 2016-17 with the Montreal Impact, scoring five goals. This season with RGV FC, Salazar has eight goals in 12 appearances (eight starts).
The forward was selected No. 24 overall in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft by the Impact.
Born in New York City but raised in Belize, Salazar has made 12 appearances for the Belize national team. He is eligible to make his Dynamo debut in the US Open Cup on Tuesday against Austin Bold.
