Houston Dynamo Labor Day Cup Sept. 5-7

The Houston Dynamo Labor Day Cup, presented by South Texas Dental, will be held Sept. 5-7 at Bear Creek Park and Katy Park, featuring multiple divisions for boys and girls teams ranging in age from 9-18.

With more than 350 teams expected to participate, the Houston Dynamo Labor Day cup is the largest youth soccer tournament in South Texas. The tournament will feature academy teams from Mexico and several state championship teams from outside Texas. The Dynamo are helping increase the tournament's reach, aiming for a goal of more than 450 teams within the next two years.

"We are thrilled to again partner with the Houston Dynamo for the 26th annual Labor Day Cup," tournament director Mike Harwell said. As South Texas' largest youth soccer tournament, we are continuing to expand our reach of participating teams beyond just the South Texas area. The Dynamo are working with us to make the Houston Labor Day Cup not just a Texas regional tournament, but a national and international event."

The Houston Dynamo bring a tradition of championship excellence and operational excellence to the Labor Day Cup. There will be appearances throughout the tournament by Dynamo players, Dynamo girls, and Dynamo Diesel. Teams will also receive tickets for a Dynamo home game. Additional discounted tickets for family and friends are available.

The night before the tournament, coaches will be offered an exclusive seminar presented by the Dynamo on Friday, September 4 at 7 p.m. at the Omni West Houston Hotel. This event will be held in conjunction with team check-in.
