HOUSTON, TX - The defending MLS Cup Champion Houston Dynamo knows the road it must travel in defense of its 2006 title.

Major League Soccer announced the 2007 Regular Season schedule today. The Dynamo's 30-game regular-season schedule includes 15 home games at Robertson Stadium and 15 road games.

The season opens at home on Sunday, April 8 when the Dynamo hosts the Los Angeles Galaxy (6:00 PM). The Dynamo will also conclude its home schedule against the Galaxy on Sunday, October 7 (2:00 PM) when David Beckham comes to town for his only scheduled appearance.

The schedule features four home matches with the Dynamo's biggest rivals. There are two home tilts with Chivas USA (April 14 & June 21) and two home battles with FC Dallas (June 3 & August 19).

The Dynamo will also host the New England Revolution in a rematch of the 2006 MLS Cup Final on Saturday, May 19 (7:30 PM).

"We are all geared up and ready to go for this season," said Dynamo President and General Manager Oliver Luck. "On and off the field, we are expecting big results and continued success. This is a good schedule that offers a fair competitive balance and a lot of good home attractions for Dynamo fans."

The Dynamo will open its regular season with three of its first four games at home, but will finish in difficult fashion, playing four of its last five games on the road. The 15-game home schedule includes seven Sunday, five Saturday and three Thursday matches.

In addition to the MLS schedule, the Dynamo will compete in three other competitions in 2007. They are CONCACAF Champions Cup, the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and SuperLiga.
