The field for the Audi 2016 MLS Cup Playoffs is nearly set, with just three more postseason spots to be determined on Decision Day next Sunday.
It got us thinking: Who has the best postseason qualification rate in MLS history?
We crunched the numbers for all 23 teams that have ever played in the league (Chivas USA, Tampa Bay and Miami, we hardly knew you …), ranking them by the percentage of their seasons in which they qualified for the playoffs. Even though some teams have already clinched their spot in the 2016 postseason, we only took the numbers through 2015, as the full bracket isn’t yet finalized.
