Toronto FC midfielder Amado Guevara captained Honduras to a 3-1 win against Mexico in World Cup Qualifying action on Wednesday. Honduras now sits third in the North and Central America and Caribbean qualifying group with 4 points from 3 matches. USA leads the group with 7 points.
Reds midfielder Carl Robinson announced that he is retiring from international football following a 2-0 defeat for Wales against Germany. Robinson was an unused substitute for Wales on Wednesday after winning his 52nd cap during a loss to Finland on Saturday.
In an interview with the BBC, Robinson said: "It's not an easy decision, it's not one I've made lightly, I'm a very patriotic boy and I've enjoyed playing for my country. I've travelled from the other side of the world to play for my country now for the last two years, but I just feel the time is right."
