The US men’s national team kicked off a new era on Sunday, defeating Panama 3-0 in the first match under new head coach Gregg Berhalter, and U.S. Soccer served up an insider’s view on Wednesday.
That would be the latest installment in the federation’s “Behind the Crest” video series, which revolved around the team’s preparation for, and execution during, the friendly at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
“Certainly we want to be able to see the concepts,” said Berhalter in the leadup to the match. “Right now we have no body of work to go on. And this is the start of our body of work.”
Noted Seattle Sounders midfielder Cristian Roldan: “I think we've built a culture that is very business-oriented, but also a lot of fun.”
