Genoa continued their march towards the Champions League next season by edging out Juventus in a dramatic encounter at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
Thiago Motta put the home side ahead in the 29th minute but a controversial penalty from Alessandro Del Piero brought Juve level just before halftime.
Motta restored Genoa's advantage deep into first-half stoppage time before Mauro Camoranesi was shown a red card for Juventus, but Vincenzo Iaquinta pegged Genoa back again five minutes from the end.
But Raffaele Palladino earned Genoa all three points in the 88th minute to take them back above Fiorentina into fourth place in Serie A.
Juve failed to take advantage of Inter Milan's draw against Palermo earlier and drop to 10 points behind the league leaders.
Genoa had an early chance to go ahead when Giandomenico Mesto set up Palladino for a shot which was cleared off the line by Nicola Legrottaglie with Gianluigi Buffon beaten.
Del Piero was muscled out at the other end by Juric as Juventus threatened for the first time in the 14th minute.
Genoa took the lead in a pulsating game in the 29th minute through Motta.
He coolly placed his shot low into the bottom corner from the edge of the penalty area after the ball broke loose when Mesto fell on his way into the area.
The Juve players surrounded the referee in protest as they claimed he had already blown for a foul on Mesto, but the goal stood.
The stadium erupted when referee Gianluca Rocchi awarded Juve a penalty in the last minute of the first half for a foul by Matteo Ferrari on Del Piero.
The Genoa defender appeared to have got the ball cleanly and Rocchi's assistant signaled for a corner kick, but the referee overruled and gave the Bianconeri a penalty, booking Ferrari.
Del Piero stepped up to bring his side level and infuriate the home fans.
But they had the last laugh of the first half when Motta put the Rossoblu back in front with a header from a Juric corner.
The allotted three minutes of stoppage time had already been played and Rocchi had considered blowing his whistle before the corner was taken, but he avoided the wrath of the home fans by resisting several seconds more.
Iaquinta had his first chance in the 50th minute but shot straight at Rubinho after being put through by Pavel Nedved.
Nedved then had his shot cleared off the line by Giuseppe Biava with the ball falling to Del Piero, whose return cross was then volleyed inches over by Nedved.
Juve's search for a second equalizer was dealt a blow when they lost Camoranesi to a straight red card for a dangerous foul on Sculli in the 65th minute.
But Buffon kept them in the game with a remarkable save to deny Sculli in the 72nd minute. Jankovic then hit the outside of the post with his header from the resulting corner.
Juve leveled in the 84th minute when Nedved and Iaquinta were allowed the freedom of the penalty area to combine, with the latter lifting his shot delicately over Rubinho.
But the game was not over yet and Genoa went down the other end to go ahead for a third time.
Marco Rossi chased a long ball down the right to home in on Buffon and square the ball to Palladino, who had a simple tap-in to secure all three points.
