San Jose Earthquakes defender Nick Garcia will appear at Walter L. Bachrodt Elementary School on Wednesday, March 18 as part of the Amway Global Kicks for Kids Program. Garcia will speak to a school assembly about the importance of fitness and a healthy lifestyle. As part of the program, he will also give out 150 tickets for the Earthquakes upcoming home match on March 21 and 150 Amway Global-branded Earthquakes jersey shirts.
The Amway Global Kicks for Kids program was created to allow underprivileged children the opportunity to experience a professional soccer match in person. Through the program, the Earthquakes and Amway Global will donate over 2,000 tickets in 2009 to children throughout the Bay Area.
