Galaxy announce protected player list

The LA Galaxy announced Monday the club's list of protected and unprotected players for Wednesday's MLS Expansion Draft. Seattle Sounders FC, Major League Soccer's fifteenth team, will be able to select 10 players in the draft, but may not select more than one from any of the other 14 MLS clubs. The expansion draft will be held at 10 a.m. (PT) on Wednesday, Nov. 26.

Each of the 14 teams that competed in MLS during the 2008 season were allowed to protect 11 players, leaving all others unprotected. Additionally, the Galaxy were only able to leave one of their three international players unprotected, meaning that two of the club's three international were placed on the 11-man protected list.
