Fox Sports West to broadcast 18 Galaxy games

The LA Galaxy announced today that Fox Sports WEST and sister network PRIME TICKET will broadcast 18 regular season Galaxy games during the 2009 MLS season. The network will begin their fifth season as the local destination of the LA Galaxy at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 22 with "Galaxy Live", a 30-minute pregame show devoted to the most comprehensive coverage of the Galaxy, prior to broadcasting the Galaxy's season opener against D.C. United.

The broadcasting duo of Jim Watson (play-by-play) and Mark Rogondino (analyst) return to the Fox Sports West booth for their third consecutive season of calling all the Galaxy action, while Jackie Pickering is back for her second season providing sideline reporting for all home games from The Home Depot Center.

"Galaxy Live" returns to the line-up and provides live pregame coverage before all home and road telecasts. An informative and entertaining extension of each game on Fox Sports WEST and PRIME TICKET, "Galaxy Live" offers a show that is connected to the team, original, fast-paced and fun. The reporting team of Watson, Rogondino and Pickering deliver the stories of the game as told by the playmakers themselves.

With the broadcast agreement with Fox Sports West, 29 of the Galaxy's 30 regular season games will be broadcast locally or nationally. The complete television broadcast schedule can be seen here.
