Jones, 19, returns to Europe for the second time. Here's more about the former US youth international and Atlanta academy winger:

Who is Zyen Jones?

Jones was born and raised in Georgia, excelling at various youth levels before joining Atlanta's academy in 2016.

The winger stayed with the club's academy for a few seasons, catching the eye of Bundesliga club Schalke. After a successful trial, he signed with the German club.

At the time he signed in Germany, he was another American at the club which already featured Weston McKennie and Haji Wright. He made 18 appearances with the club's U-19 team, including four in the UEFA Youth League — essentially a U-19 Champions League. In 2019, though, he returned stateside.

Jones signed with USL Championship side Charlotte Independence in April of 2019 and made 12 appearances with the club, before being released this winter. He had been without a club prior to signing with Ferencvárosi.

On the international front, Jones was a regular with the US U-17 side. He scored twice for the US in the 2017 CONCACAF U-17 Championships, but did not feature on the side that reached the quarterfinal stage of the U-17 World Cup in India.

Jones went on to make one appearance for the US U-20s.
