In order to reward those who have joined the Fire's Premium Seating Program, the The Chicago Fire extended a sneak-peak opportunity to current and potential Chicago Fire suite holders with an exclusive tour of Bridgeview Stadium, the Fire's future permanent home which is scheduled to open next summer. This private event took place on Wednesday, June 22 at the stadium site at 71st Street and Harlem Avenue in Bridgeview, IL. The tour was followed by an elegant dinner at the beautiful Courtright's Restaurant in Willow Springs, just southwest of the stadium site.
The tour, which was the largest public gathering at the stadium site since last November's groundbreaking ceremony, served to showcase the tremendous construction progress that has been made over the past seven months. All of the Premium Seating suite holders had cause for excitement, as they were informed that construction is going quicker in some areas than originally anticipated.
Those in attendance were given ceremonial hard hats and commemorative tickets for the event. While on the tour, each visitor was invited to personally sign his or her signature on a piece of formal steel that will eventually be erected within the new sports and entertainment venue. Once the tour itself concluded, the entourage of Fire supporters sat down for a terrific dinner, which was highlighted with the appearance of Fire captain Chris Armas. The veteran midfielder spoke about the importance of the Fire's new home and what the building will imply for the club, sport and Chicago soccer fans.
Those who were not able to attend the event and are still interested in becoming a part of the Chicago Fire's Premium Seating Program will soon be able to sign up for their own first-rate suite. Over half of the available private suites have already been sold for the new home of the "Men in Red," with the remaining suites expected to be purchased leading up to the Grand Opening of Bridgeview Stadium during the 2006 MLS season.
