As the current cycle of FIFA 18 runs its course and we inch closer to the release of FIFA 19, what better time than now to take one more victory lap with some of the incredible full-MLS sides that can be made on Ultimate Team? Here are three of the best options.
Of course, I had to run these by our resident FIFA-star Stephen Keel, of Ultimate Keel, for his two cents.
The highest rated MLS team in Ultimate Team in FIFA 18
Highest Rated MLS Ultimate Team XI
With more than a few cards harkening back to days outside the league, this sort of feels like cheating. But, hey, the club each player is attached to is MLS, so it's time to prosper. The pace on the cards for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, David Villa, Andrea Pirlo, Clint Dempsey and Ashley Cole might be a bit generous, even from years ago, but it makes for all the more fun.
The backline will generally remain the same across each potential team as attacking options are much more plentiful for this cycle of Ultimate Team. The midfield has a certain blend of robustness and quality to prop up a mouth-watering attack of Ibrahimovic, Villa and Clint Dempsey.
Ultimate Keel's Take: Love the spine of that team with Howard, Bradley and Deuce. Oh and that 96 Ibra card... yes please!
In-forms for this season only
In-Forms only
Okay. So it did feel like cheating grabbing cards made to reflect some players from years ago, so, what would a team look like with just in-forms from performances over the last year? Very, very good.
Record-breaker Josef Martinez is the cream of the crop for this team, while Carlos Vela, Haris Medunjanin, Sean Johnson and Ultimate Team-darling Romain Alessandrini lends the side an even more current and unique feel to MLS.
Ultimate Keel's Take: Josef Martinez with the 96 pace and 91 shot... the dude is a record breaker. Enough said.

Best current MLS Ultimate Team XI
Some of the cards in the highest rated team were special, timely cards that can't be purchased on the transfer market. This team, however, can all be attained today. This is the best collection of MLS players that can be put together right now.
Ibrahimovic as target man with Wayne Rooney underneath with Martinez and Sebastian Giovinco flanking him is as deadly a combination in the game across the world. Bradley can always be dropped to the backline to improve, with another midfielder stepping in next to Medunjanin.
Ultimate Keel's Take: The thought of facing a front three of Ibra, Seba and Josef would have any defender terrified.
Well said, Keel.
