FC Dallas sign Belgian Roland Lamah, Costa Rican Jose Salvatierra

FC Dallas made a pair of signings on Friday, signing former La Liga and English Premier League winger Roland Lamah and adding Costa Rican right back Jose Salvatierra on loan for the 2017 season from Alajeulense.


Lamah, 28, joins FCD after spending the 2014-15 and 2015-16 season with Hungarian club Ferencvaros. He made 33 appearances last season, recording seven goals and nine assists to help the club to the Hungarian first-division title.


After spending three seasons with French club Le Mans, Lamah signed with Spanish club Osasuna in 2011. He scored three times in 45 La Liga appearances before being sent on loan to Swansea City in the January 2013, scoring twice in 14 EPL appearances in the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons before moving to Hungary following his release by Osasuna.


Born in the Ivory Coast, Lamah chose to represent Belgium internationally. He has five senior caps for the country, all of which came in 2009.


Salvatierra, 27, joins FC Dallas on a year-long loan from Alajuelense. The left back has made 155 league appearances since turning pro in the 2010, winning five Costa Rican league titles and the Copa Centroamericana during his time with Alajuelense. A regular part of the Costa Rican national team, Salvatierra has 30 career caps and played the full 90 for Los Ticos in their 4-0 World Cup qualifying win over the US last month.
