FC Cincinnati’s Luca Orellano Wins 2024 AT&T MLS Goal of the Year

NEW YORK, NEW YORK (Wednesday, October 30th, 2024) – Major League Soccer today announced that FC Cincinnati’s Luca Orellano has won the 2024 AT&T MLS Goal of the Year for his incredible long-distance goal in the 57th minute against CF Montréal on Saturday, August 31st at TQL Stadium (Watch Here).

The Argentinian shocked the home crowd at TQL as he launched one of the longest recorded free kicks of 79.81 yards from midfield contributing to his club’s 4-1 victory over CF Montréal. Orellano scored just four minutes earlier in the match also via a free kick, making it his second brace of the season and solidifying his impact as a standout newcomer.

This was Orellano’s second goal from over 40 yards out this season.

The 2024 AT&T MLS Goal of the Year was determined by fan votes on MLSsoccer.com and has been awarded since the league’s inaugural 1996 season.
