World champs! There’s only one way to start the show, and that’s with a complete breakdown of the United States’ victory in the Women’s World Cup final. Forget victory, though. This was a 90-minute celebration led by hat-trick hero Carli Lloyd. Simon called it, and so did Chelsea Ladies head coach Emma Hayes, who joins the guys to explain why the USWNT are still at the top of the women’s game.
Now that you’ve finally caught your breath after a hectic month of June, it’s time to dip your toes in CONCACAF waters. The Gold Cup starts Tuesday, and Andrew, Simon and David all agree that the USMNT are the favorites. But what’s their weakness? And how will Dempsey react to his demotion from captain? Fox Sports’ Kyle McCarthy joins to answer those questions and more.
Of course, MLS won’t stop for the Gold Cup, and there’s plenty to talk about on the domestic front. First, David and Andrew introduce Arielle Castillo, then the discussion shifts to some guy named Andrea Pirlo, who is NYCFC’s newest DP. But what about Giovani dos Santos? And why is Andrew eating crow? Tune in to find out.
