AMSTERDAM — The widely reported loan move of Schalke outcast Jermaine Jones to Blackburn Rovers has now been completed, MLSsoccer.com has learned.
According to the midfielder's agent, the final piece of the deal – personal terms with the player – were agreed upon late Monday night.
"As of tonight, it is official," Jones' rep, Adam Davis, told MLSsoccer.com. "Jermaine is on loan with Blackburn Rovers of the EPL until June 30."
Jones had not appeared for the Royal Blues since being pulled at halftime of a galling 5-0 loss to Kaiserslautern on Nov. 27.
For the season, the US international has one goal in 10 league starts, adding in assist in four Champions League outings.
Eleventh-place Blackburn could debut Jones when West Bromwich Albion come to town on Sunday.
