Former Chicago Fire and Houston Dynamo striker Jason Johnson turned heads around the USL – and beyond – on Saturday night, lashing home an incredible scissor-kick goal to pace MLS expansion hopefuls Phoenix Rising FC to a 3-0 win over the Tulsa Roughnecks in front of a sellout crowd at the Phoenix Rising Soccer Complex.
It was the seventh goal of the current season for the Jamaican international, a first-round SuperDraft pick of the Dynamo in 2013. And it's one neither he nor Phoenix fans are likely to forget any time soon. Rising FC currently six in second place in the USL Western Conference standings with a 9-3-4 record.
