There are other issues of course, but Los Toros Tejanos need to put the ball in the net with more consistency in 2020. Zdenek Ondrasek showed down the stretch, with seven goals in 750 minutes, that he might be the answer, but the underlying numbers suggest that kind of rate of return is likely to be unsustainable. Ricardo Pepi is just 17, Jesus Ferreira probably isn't a center forward, and none of the wingers have exactly been clinical finishers in their MLS years.
This is a big proof of concept year for FCD. One of the forwards or winger needs to turn into an in-the-box assassin for the plan to come to fruition.
