The Allstate "Good Hands®" top goalkeeper award - El Portero Allstate - will be presented for the third consecutive year. One goalkeeper at each of the three local tryouts will be selected as a local goalkeeper finalist and will compete in the National Finals for the opportunity to be named El Portero Allstate and train with an MLS team. El Portero Allstate will be selected in conjunction with the winner of Sueño MLS 2015 – Presented by Allstate.

Steven Manual Ortiz - El Portero Allstate 2014 Winner
Steven Manual Ortiz (Goalkeeper – 14 years old – Linden, NJ) A local New York Red Bulls winner of the Allstate "Good Hands®" top goalkeeper award - El Portero Allstate award, Ortiz is the youngest goalkeeper to win the award. Passionate about goalkeeping since the age of 4, Steven developed his skills under former pro Ruben Garcia Ruiz at TSF Academy. Former Mexican star Martin Zuñiga was most impressed with his performance in Southern California. "Ortiz has all the skills a goalkeeper needs. He is quick and agile but also has a great command of the field and is very knowledgeable of the game. A goalkeeper needs to do more than just defend, he has to be the first one to attack and is the last line of defense, and he is very good at both," said the Allstate "Good Hands®" top goalkeeper - El Portero Allstate mentor/coach, Martin "El Pulpo" Zuñiga. Steven joined the Red Bulls U16 teams and is currently their #2 goalkeeper.
Luis Aranzazu - El Portero Allstate 2013 Winner
Luis Aranzazu (Goalkeeper – 17 years old – Pembroke Pines, FL) Local D.C. United winner of Allstate "Good Hands®" top goalkeeper award – El Portero Allstate. Luis is the D.C. finalist who traveled the furthest to participate in the program. A native of Colombia, he dreams of becoming a professional soccer player, but before that, he wants to play college soccer and graduate from a four-year university. Luis’ idol is Nice’s David Ospina because he became a professional soccer player at the age of 17 for Atletico Nacional, which is also Luis’ favorite team. Luis is currently a senior at West Broward High School in Pembroke Pines, FL. He is the starting Goalkeeper for the soccer team and also plays Goalkeeper for West Pines United FC.
Jimmy Camacho - El Portero Allstate 2012 Winner
Jimmy Camacho (Goalkeeper – 16 years old – Riverside, Calif.) Local Chivas USA winner of Allstate "Good Hands®" top goalkeeper award – El Portero Allstate. Jimmy’s Sueño MLS experience might be unlike any other. The Citrus Hill High School standout recently lost one of his teammates and friends to lung cancer. "I felt that throughout the tryouts, he was with me in spirit, pushing me to do my best." The wild-haired net-minder lists goalkeepers Guillermo Ochoa and Victor Valdez among his favorite players, but ironically, the Chivas USA Sueño MLS national finalist named LA Galaxy as his favorite MLS club.
Anthony Hall - El Portero Allstate 2011 Winner
In 2011, then 16-year-old goalkeeper Anthony Hall was named the as the first-ever "Portero Allstate" after a tough competition against two other finalists. "Anthony is a very vocal goalkeeper, with a strong personality to organize the defense. His abilities with his hands as well as his feet are outstanding", said Adolfo Rios, a veteran of the Mexican national team and Mexican powerhouse Club América, and one of three "celebrity" scouts that was tasked with determining the winner. Hall, who reached the semifinals of Sueño MLS Houston in 2010, beat out two other talented youngsters to earn the prize last year. During the Finals, the goalkeeper played two games against the FC Dallas Academy and managed to keep his goal scoreless.
