The first legs of the Conference Semifinals in the Audi 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs had plenty of plays that had opposing fans casting long looks at the referees.
But one play in particular stood above the rest.
It was when Didier Drogba grabbed a hold of Columbus Crew SC goalkeeper Steve Clark's leg and wouldn't let go (video above). We now know that the Montreal Impact forward will not be suspended for the second leg of the two-legged series – an MLS spokesperson confirmed that no further action will be taken for any plays in the Conference Semifinal first legs and no players will be suspended.
This will also be welcome news for the New York Red Bulls as some thought Ronald Zubar's 69th minute yellow card foul on D.C. United's Markus Halsti deserved red.
