After conceding late in a midweek draw with the Chicago Fire, D.C. United return to Audi Field seeking their first win in five games when they host the San Jose Earthquakes Saturday night.
D.C. United (7-4-5) maintained their spot atop the Eastern Conference, but left disappointed with a 3-3 draw against the Fire. A Ulises Segura second-half brace erased an early deficit and Luciano Acosta gave the hosts a lead nine minutes from full time. But Francisco Calvo leveled in stoppage time, resulting in the third draw in the last four games for D.C. United.
The Earthquakes (5-6-2) have three wins in their last four games following a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Toronto FC at BMO Field Sunday. Chris Wondolowski was again the hero. Following a four-goal performance in a win over the Fire, the new MLS goals king struck for a pair of goals, both assisted by Cristian Espinoza, as San Jose secured a point in six of its last seven games.
