Cristiano Ronaldo is currently battling injuries, which are reportedly caused and exacerbated by overuse.
But a witch doctor in Ghana takes issue with that logic, saying he's the person responsible for CR7's maladies, and presumably, he's proud of that.
The Guardian reported on Wednesday the comments made by Nana Kwaku Bonsam (which apparently translates as "Devil of Wednesday") to a Ghanaian radio station on the matter.
“I know what Cristiano Ronaldo’s injury is about, I’m working on him,” Bonsam is quoted as telling Angel FM.

“I said it four months ago that I will work on Cristiano Ronaldo seriously and rule him out of the World Cup or at least prevent him from playing against Ghana and the best thing I can do is to keep him out though injury."
Ronaldo, the reigning FIFA World Player of the Year, just finished a grueling, but largely positive season with Real Madrid. Despite winning the UEFA Champions League title and breaking the record for most goals scored in a season season in that competition, as well as leading Portugal to the World Cup with two fantastic performances in the playoff tie against Sweden last fall, he has struggled to stay in the lineup in recent months due to a series of injuries.
Arguably, his injury issues made the difference in the La Liga title chase, as cross-town rivals Atletico Madrid won the championship on the final day of the season.
Of course, Ghana are in the same group at the World Cup as Portugal, so Bonsam's targeting of Ronaldo is likely not by accident.
And while the US national team is also in Ghana's group, no word on whether Bonsam, or any other witch doctor, is targeting any other players in Group G.
Despite the short-term nature of the World Cup, Bonsam is claiming Ronaldo will be dealing with injuries for the rest of his days.
“This injury can never be cured by any medic, they can never see what is causing the injury because it is spiritual," he said. "Today, it is his knee, tomorrow it is his thigh, next day it is something else.”
