As in past years, teams that qualify for the quarterfinals of the Gold Cup will be allowed to change their 23-player roster following the group stage by replacing up to six players with players from their 40-man preliminary roster.
Injury Replacement: On Friday, July 7 it was officially announced that NYCFC left wingback Ronald Matarrita would be replaced by Herediano's Juan Pablo Vargas due to an injury that Matarrita suffered in Major League Soccer in a match against Minnesota United FC on June 29.
** Knockout phase roster change: Notes players who were added on July 17, when the Costa Rican national team announced it had made four of the six allowed roster changes after reaching the quarterfinals, per tournament regulations.
