The Colorado Rapids will try to make it four straight games without a defeat when they host an FC Cincinnati side that has one win in its last 10 games in the inaugural meeting between the the teams at Dick's Sporting Goods Park Saturday.
After consecutive wins, the Rapids (2-9-3) earned an impressive 1-1 road win against the Philadelphia Union at Talen Enegy Stadium Wednesday. Jonathan Lewis scored for the second consecutive game with the 72nd-minute equalizer to cancel out Sergio Santos' first-half goal.
FC Cincinnati (3-9-2) couldn't solve Luis Robles early and were punished for a late defensive miscue in a 2-0 loss to the New York Red Bulls at Nippert Stadium Saturday. Kaku capitalized to break the stalemate and Omir Fernandez followed with his first MLS goal as the expansion side lost for the seventh time in eight games.
